The Funding and Financial Support team at Nottingham provides information and advice on most aspects of student finance to both current and prospective students and administers a range of funding schemes such as bursaries, scholarships and support funds.

Funding options

Nottingham is an affordable city to live in and there are a variety of ways for you to finance your studies.

  • Tuition Fee Loan and Maintenance Loan (undergraduate students only)
  • Postgraduate Loan (postgraduate students only)
  • Governmental support grants
  • University of Nottingham Core Bursary (for 2019 entry, this is up to £2,000 a year)
  • Awards and scholarships (including sport and international scholarships)
  • Research grants from councils, trusts and charities
  • Paid studentships and doctoral training
